Smart meters send millions of interval readings, but not all of them arrive or make sense. Communication gaps, clock drift, faulty meters and tampering all create bad data that flows straight into billing, settlement and forecasting. Teams spend days chasing exceptions, and customers lose trust when bills are estimated or wrong.
How OMNIwatt worksOMNIwatt ingests interval readings from head-end systems into one data model and runs validation, estimation and editing rules on every read. Gaps are filled with clearly labelled estimates, never hidden. Machine learning compares each meter with its own history and with similar customers to flag faults, unusual consumption and possible tampering, and every flag goes to a work queue with the evidence behind it.
A meter starts reporting flat zero consumption every night while its neighbours do not. OMNIwatt flags it as a possible fault or bypass, attaches the consumption pattern and comms history, and raises it for a field check before the next billing run.
